Mercury brings on Kristen Crawford-Whitaker as a SVP in its Florida office. Crawford-Whitaker was previously assistant vice chancellor of public policy and advocacy for the State University System of Florida. In that role, she acted as the Board of Governors’ chief liaison with the state’s legislative and executive branches, university leadership and organizations throughout the state and coordinated a systemwide advocacy strategy to support the board’s goals and legislative priorities. “Kristen will be a major asset to our clients and her arrival further speaks to our Florida team’s reputation as a full-service bipartisan firm attracting the state’s top strategists across party lines,” said Mercury partner Ashley Walker.
Trulioo, identificaton verification outfit, appoints Dawn Crew as its first chief marketing officer. Crew was most recently senior vice president, industry & solution marketing at TransUnion, accountable for leading teams across the organization’s core B2B Solutions businesses. She was previously chief marketing officer at iovation, which was acquired by TransUnion in 2018. “Dawn’s leadership and marketing acumen in the identity verification space will be instrumental in broadening the reach of the Trulioo end-to-end identity platform in new and mainstay verticals and geographies,” said Trulioo CEO Steve Mumford.
CasperLabs, blockchain software marketer, names Michael Dobak CMO. Dobak comes to the company from precision genomics company DermTech, where he was a brand consultant. He was previously chief marketing at blockchain platform BLOCK. Dobak was also at Ogilvy for over a decade, serving in positions including CEO of Ogilvy West & South. At CasperLabs, he will have worldwide responsibility for the visibility, reputation and growth of the brand. CasperLabs co-founder and CEO Mrinal Manohar said that Dobak’s “deep experience building iconic brands will be immensely valuable as we pursue our growth initiatives.”
