Invariant has added Monica Matoush, who spent more than 20 years as a public affairs officer for the US Air Force, Pentagon and House Armed Services Committee, to its team.
Most recently, she was senior advisor to the Undersecretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness, dealing with national security matters and initiatives supporting service members and their families.
Earlier, Matoush did a three-year stint as communications director at the House Armed Services Committee and advisor to its chairman Adam Smith (R-WA).
During the Obama Administration, Matoush was senior protocol advisor and military assistant to the Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel.
Commenting on the rapidly changing national security landscape, Invariant founder/CEO Heather Podesta said Matoush’s strategic counsel will help clients “navigate the defense news cycle and articulate a clear point of view that will resonate with key audiences.”
