Andrea Gomes da Silva, Mitch Bainwol

Brunswick Group adds Andrea Gomes da Silva and Mitch Bainwol to its global regulatory and public affairs team as senior advisors, effective May 16 and June 1, respectively. Gomes da Silva was previously executive director, markets and mergers at the Competition and Markets Authority, the UK’s competition regulator. She was also a member of the CMA’s board. In her new post, she will work with the firm’s London and Lisbon teams and will help clients globally navigate antitrust, competition and regulatory issues. Bainwol was most recently chief government relations officer at Ford Motor Company. He was previously president and CEO of the Alliance of Automobile Manufacturers and has held senior positions in government and politics, including chief of staff to the Senate Majority Leader and the Republican National Committee. At Brunswick, Mitch will be based in Washington, DC and will provide senior counsel to clients on a range of public affairs and policy issues.

VidCon, an annual convention centered around digital creators and online video, names Colin Hickey SVP, operations and Sarah Tortoreti SVP, marketing & communications. Hickey first joined the company as chief operating officer in 2013 and most recently served as COO/vice president operations. He will continue to focus on all operational aspects of the business while also overseeing sponsorship sales. Tortoreti most recently served as VidCon’s vice president, global marketing & communications. She will continue to be responsible for the development and management of all aspects of the VidCon brand. “Sarah and Colin have exemplified what it means to be leaders as they have continued to build, expand and innovate around the VidCon experience over the last few years,” commented Paramount Global president, consumer products and experiences Pam Kaufman. Burrell Communications Group names Khari Streeter as chief creative officer. Streeter joins the company from Hill Holiday, where he served as executive vice president, creative director and head of production. In his new role, Streeter will lead Burrell’s creative teams.
