My Code, a multicultural digital platform, names Ginny Yang VP-marketing. Yang was most recently vice president of brand marketing at Viant Technology. She has also held senior marketing positions at the New York Times, Huffington Post and G/O Media. At My Code, Yang will be responsible for developing and driving the company’s product positioning, messaging and thought leadership. “Over the course of her career, Ginny has built strategic partnerships, executed effective campaigns and led successful teams,” said My Code chief operating officer Jennifer White.

Tom Cocke, Don Bailey

MP&F Strategic Communications hires Don Bailey as director of creative services, design and promotes Tom Cocke to director of creative services and copy. Bailey joins the agency from Nashville-based Buntin, where he has served as art director since 2008. His creative credits include work for such brands as Trex, Perkins, Logan’s Roadhouse, Nashville SC and American Born Moonshine. Before joining MP&F last year, Cocke was also at Buntin, where he was senior vp, group creative director. In his new role, he will co-lead the creative services team with Bailey and coach writers across all areas of the agency. “Tom and Don worked together for more than a decade earlier in their careers and during that time set an impressive track record of producing award-winning work and building culture that inspires creativity,” said Mary Elizabeth Davis, the agency’s first director of creative services, who was named partner in 2020.

Motion hires Zachary Walker as social media director. Walker most recently served as senior manager, social media at cannabis and medical marijuana company Cresco Labs while also managing his own consulting company, Zachary Walker Consulting LLC. He has more than a decade of experience in B2B and B2C communications, influencer relations and strategic and tactical content execution. Motion has also promoted Scott Gundersen to vice president, design director. Gundersen has a design director been with the company since December 2017, starting at Remedy, which was acquired by Motion in February 2020. “Motion is made up of curious thinkers, problem solvers and strategic storytellers, and Zach and Scott will help make us even better and smarter,” said Motion owner and CEO Kimberly Eberl.

Confidant names Marie-Sophie Lantin executive vice president, consumer PR and Andy Izquierdo executive vice president, corporate reputation. Lantin was most recently EVP, brand solutions at BCW. Prior to BCW, she was marketing director for the French bakery and café chain Maison Kayser, and she has held senior agency roles at Marina Maher Communications, Edelman and Hill & Knowlton. Izquierdo was most recently chief communications officer for Sound Transit, the Seattle area’s mass transit system. He has also served as chief communications officer at Waste Management, vice president of communications and social impact for Belk department stores and vice president of corporate affairs for PetSmart. Izquierdo will be tasked with bringing expertise to the agency in the areas of public affairs and government relations.
