Jason Alderman has been named senior VP-global communications and government relations at BYJU’s, the fast-growing Bangalore, India-based education technology company.
He has served as chief communications officer at FAST fintech company, CCO at Clover Health, senior VP-corporate communications at DraftKings, VP-corporate communications at KinderCare and VP-global corporate communications at Visa.
BYJU’s has more than 150M learners on its platform.
It acquired U.S.-based Epic and Tynker last year, and Osmo in 2019.
The company also partnered with Disney on an interactive early-learning app, and recently committed to investing $1 billion in North America over the next couple of years, as well as launched an innovation hub in the U.S.
BYJU’s counts the Chan-Zuckerberg Initiative, Sequoia Capital India, Tencent, Owl Ventures, Tiger Global, Bond and Silver Lake among its financial backers.
