Zapwater Communications names Amanda ReCupido managing director, Chicago. ReCupido comes to Zapwater from Public Communications Inc., where she most recently served as senior vice president, overseeing the agency’s nonprofit sector of business. She was previously publicity manager at Goodman Theatre and Time Out Chicago. “For Zapwater to continue to scale, we understand that we need to add leaders with Amanda’s experience and pedigree to help us get there,” said Zapwater CEO David Zapata. “I have full confidence in Amanda to step into the managing director role, take the reins, and help take Zapwater Chicago to the next level.”

She has also worked at G&S Business Communications and held senior communications posts at ADAMA US and RBC Bank. In her new post, Miller is charged with ensuring successful execution of all strategic public relations, content, media relations and social media campaigns. “Christa brings the perfect combination of communications expertise, agency experience and leadership to our firm,” said BAERING chairman Robert Buhler.

He is also the founder of consulting, marketing and podcasting company 20 Nickels.
