Healthcare agency LaVoieHealthScience has named Deborah Plumstead vice president of health communications.
Plumstead joins LHS from healthcare public relations agency Green Room Communications, where she served as vice president. Prior to that, she was a communications consultant for the American Nurses Foundation, the Kennedy Krieger Institute and the American Pharmacists Association and was also previously served as PR team leader at inVentiv Health.
Plumstead started her career working in public affairs in Burson-Marsteller’s Washington, D.C. office and spent a dozen years working for PR agencies overseas, including Ketchum’s office in Dubai.
Boston-based LaVoieHealthScience in 2021 accounted for more than $5.7 million in healthcare-related net fees, according to O’Dwyer’s rankings of PR firms.
