Dixon Schwabl + Company is named public relations agency of record by PGA of America for the 2023 PGA Championship. The agency is executing a strategic PR campaign that includes local and regional media relations management, community relationship development, PR counsel and event support, and PR measurement. The relationship between DS+CO and PGA of America dates to over a decade ago, when DS+CO (formerly known as Dixon Schwabl) was hired as agency of record for the 2013 PGA Championship. The 2023 PGA Championship will be played at Rochester’s return to Oak Hill Country Club on May 15-21, 2023.


Fishman Public Relations partners with Floyd's 99 Barbershop, a haircare franchise with 127 locations nationwide, to assist with its continued growth. Zapwater Communications lands Plum Market, a chain known for its organic groceries and chef-crafted cuisine, to handle the launch of the grocer’s Aventura, FL store, its first location in The Sunshine State. The agency will handle media relations, influencer marketing, brand partnerships and advertising for the Aventura store’s grand opening in November. The 23,000-square-foot store will also have a café with indoor and outdoor seating. “This is a very important opening for the company, and we’re thrilled to have been selected for our deep roots in the local community and creative ideas we have planned for the launch,” said Holly Zawyer, managing director of Zapwater’s Miami office.


3rd Coast PR adds Aquascape, which designs, builds and maintains water features with a focus on sustainability, to its client roster. The agency will partner with Aquascape to elevate brand awareness through strategic media outreach and thought leadership events, as well as working to secure B2B and B2C unpaid media. The company has developed projects for such clients as Shaquille O’Neal, Shedd Aquarium and the Toronto Zoo. Aquascape says its PR needs have reached a larger scope as people continue to work from home and desire a tranquil personal retreat.
