Clarity names Jason Wakeford SVP, working out of the agency’s Los Angeles office. Wakeford most recently founded independent consultancy Barcourt Communications. He has also served as interim head of communications for eBay, led communications for the UK Civil Aviation Authority and was chief media officer for the UK Environment Agency. At Clarity, Wakeford will serve as senior counsel to existing clients, expand Clarity’s LA presence and oversee the agency’s expanding consumer tech practice. “With his deep experience in consumer tech and issues management, I have no doubt he will bring invaluable insights and counsel to our existing and future clients,” said Clarity LA managing director Monica Feig.
imre promotes Sarah Dembert to EVP and Emily Giegerich to SVP. Dembert has been with the agency since 2011, most recently serving as a senior vice president. She has worked across the oncology, respiratory, immunology, diabetes, cardiovascular and rare disease sectors. In her new role, she will add to her duties by taking on enterprise responsibilities as chair of imre’s senior leadership team forum. Giegerich was previously a vice president at the agency. Before joining imre in 2018, she was director, marketing & communications at Squeaky Wheel Media. As senior vp, she will oversee client experience across several global pharmaceutical brands. “Sarah and Emily are two shining examples of leaders within our organization who are naturally strategic, compassionate and results-driven team builders handling challenges with ease,” said imre Health president Anna Kotis.
Verusen, a supply chain intelligence provider, appoints Rebecca Schuette as senior vice president of marketing. Schuette was most recently vice president of marketing at KUDO, a multilingual meeting SaaS company. Before that, she was VP of Marketing for SmartBooks, a SaaS-enabled finance and HR solution for small businesses. She has also worked as a marketing manager at Digitas. In her new post, Schuette is responsible for leading Verusen’s marketing initiatives. “We are confident in her ability to build new marketing initiatives that will help increase lead generation for the company and grow Verusen’s brand awareness,” said Verusen founder and CEO Paul Noble.
