Falls & Co. names Tom Bernot president and chief operating officer. Bernot was most recently SVP, new business development at the agency. His previous positions include VP at Falls Digital, global brand manager at Swagelok and VP of eCommerce and digital marketing at WBC Group. In addition to remaining focused on new business development in his new post, Bernot will now spearhead innovation across the agency’s offerings. Agency founder Rob Falls will become chairman and retain his role of CEO. “Tom’s depth and breadth of experiences and successes in both corporate and agency settings, combined with using data analytics and solution-based approaches will bring unique insights and perspectives as we continue to solve our clients’ challenges,” said Falls.

Banner Public Affairs appoints Patrick Mitchell VP of public relations. Mitchell joins Banner from the African Wildlife Foundation, where he managed corporate communications in North America. He was previously a senior vice president at The Hastings Group. At Banner, Mitchell will be tasked with leveraging his experience delivering communication strategies for the clean energy and infrastructure industry and building bipartisan coalition to strengthen Banner's expanded focus on clean water, renewable energy and environmental issues. "Patrick's wide-ranging knowledge of the media landscape and several decades' worth of experience creating campaigns around critical bipartisan issues is a tremendous addition to Banner's team of experts," said Banner partner Jim Talent.
