The National Basketball Association names Tammy Henault chief marketing officer, effective Nov. 21. Henault is currently senior vice president, of marketing, and streaming at Paramount+. She previously headed up marketing for CBS All Access, which was relaunched as Paramount+ last year. Earlier in her career, she held marketing positions at the New York Times and Time Inc. In her new role, Henault will lead all global marketing efforts for the NBA and will play a leading role in driving the launch of the NBA’s Next Gen platform. “Tammy is an award-winning marketing and media executive with terrific experience and a proven track record in audience acquisition, retention and engagement,” said NBA Deputy Commissioner and Chief Operating Officer Mark Tatum.

The Public Affairs Council elects Mary Moore Hamrick of the George W. Bush Institute as its 2022-23 chair. Hamrick is currently the Don Evans Family Managing Director of Domestic Policy at the George W. Bush Institute and serves on the Board of Advisors for the Frank Hawkins Kenan Institute of Private Enterprise at the University of North Carolina. Prior to her current roles, she was CEO of Political Quotient Advisors and chief public policy officer for Grant Thornton. “Mary Moore’s skills as a strategist in public policy and external relations, along with her wide experience working with C-suite leaders, will help the Council grow in size and influence,” said Public Affairs Council president Doug Pinkham.
