Pommerehn, who has been the firm’s chief PR strategist for the past 15 years, will serve as EVP, PR & reputation management, leading a team that implements media relations and crisis communications programs across Crosby’s practice areas. She also oversees national awareness campaigns and leads the firm’s promotional activities, staff events and community outreach programs. Dooher, who was a SVP at Ogilvy PR before joining Crosby in 2019, is now executive vp, senior strategist, heading up Crosby’s partnership with the Peace Corps and guiding national integrated marketing and behavior-change campaigns for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, CDC and Substance Abuse and Mental Health Administration.

George Washington University’s College of Professional Studies appoints Larry Parnell to the new position of faculty director for executive education for public affairs and communications. Parnell will continue to serve as program director and associate professor in the school’s strategic public relations program, a position he has held for almost 15 years. Before coming to GWU, he served as a vice president at Hill & Knowlton Canada and director of global PR at Enrst & Young. In his new role, Parnell will provide faculty leadership to the CPS’ executive education efforts with organizations in the public affairs and communications industry. “Professor Parnell is uniquely positioned, based on his extensive experience, to successfully expand the College’s offerings in the dynamic global communications industry,” said College of Professional Studies dean Liesl Riddle.
