Lambert hires Doug Kuiper as chief of staff. Kuiper joins the agency from Ilitch Holdings, where he was chief communications officer, leading communications for such brands as Little Caesars, the Detroit Tigers and the Detroit Red Wings. He was previously senior vice president of marketing and communications with Michigan Economic Development Corporation. At Lambert, he will report to chairman Jeff Lambert and work with the leadership team across the Lambert family of companies, including TiiCKER and Fairly Painless, to optimize internal operations, drive and integrate complementary mergers and acquisitions, and bring new products and services to market. “Known as a successful change agent, Doug excels in building high-performance teams and enhancing company culture from the inside out,” said Lambert.

The American Marketing Association, which has local chapters in more than 70 cities and 350 college campuses throughout North America, appoints Bennie F. Johnson as chief executive officer. Johnson most recently headed up the American Institute of Graphic Artists. He was previously chief strategy officer for the Council of Better Business Bureaus. "Bennie comes to the AMA with a wealth of experience and knowledge to support our strategic direction and, after a long search, we are enthused to have him join us," said AMA board chairperson Kevin Bradford.

Kiterocket, a Seattle-based firm, names Amy Cunningham managing director of its Sustainable Living Practice. Cunningham joins Kiterocket from Columbia Hospitality, where she served as senior director of marketing. Her previous positions include account management lead for The Garrigan Lyman Group and marketing and internal communications consultant at Deloitte Digital. In her new role, she is collaborating with and offering strategic counsel to renewable energy companies, as well as clients in the food and agriculture industries. “Amy’s integrated experience across public relations and digital marketing, along with extensive experience building and nurturing teams, provides the perfect combination to collaborate and lead our Sustainable Living practice,” said Kiterocket CEO Amanda Foley.

Tripadvisor, the world's largest travel guidance platform, brings on former Shutterfly chief marketing officer John Boris as its CMO. Boris has also served as executive vice president and managing director of the U.S. business for Lonely Planet Americas. At Tripadvisor, he will have direct responsibility for the platform's B2C and B2B marketing strategy and execution. “John has a demonstrated track record building global brands and this company will benefit from his deep experience in e-commerce, travel and hospitality," said Tripadvisor CEO Matt Goldberg.
