Ruder Finn has hired Chip Scarinzi, who was Hill+Knowton’s US deputy technology lead for the past three years, as US head of technology and innovation, a newly created post.
He joins the independent firm’s more than 175-member technology team and reports to RF CEO Kathy Bloomgarden.
Prior to H+K, Scarinzi was senior VP at Ketchum, VP at Cohn & Wolfe, senior account supervisor at Edelman and account supervisor at M&L Worldwide.
During his career, he has handled client activity and secured media coverage at major events such as Consumer Electronics Show, SXSW, Mobile World Congress and Computex.
“Chip brings expertise in helping multinational clients at the intersection of where technology meets industry and will be a valuable addition to our team of experts,” said Bloomgarden.
Laura Anderson, who rose to VP/GM of global communications and events in a nearly 20 year stint at Intel, will take on the Americas technology chair at Burson following the completion of the BCW and H+K merger on July 1.
