Sable

Qorvis Communications veterans Elissa Dodge and Philippa Levenberg have launched Sable Strategy, a strategic communications shop.

During her nearly 20-year run at Qorvis, Dodge rose to the executive VP/chief client officer position.

Levenberg headed digital communications in her three-year run. She also held digital posts at Story Partners, North Bridge Communications and Levick.

Sable Strategy, which is staffed by women executives, focuses on PA/issues management, executive communications, crisis management, social media, influencer activations, graphics, website design, media training, and event planning.

Dodge and Levenberg chose the name “sable” because the animal travels in female-led herds where they run long-distances at great speed, displaying the stamina and nimbleness to outlast their predators.

Publicis Groupe sold Qorvis effective Dec. 31 to a management group headed by long-time executive Matt Lauer.
