G&S Business Communications appoints Marjani Williams VP, DE&I. Williams had been deputy director of the Illinois Office of Communication and Information at the Illinois Department of Central Management Services before joining G&S in 2021. Earlier, she was pdirector of public affairs at the Chicago Department of Streets and Sanitation. In addition to assuming leadership of the G&S DE&I Task Force, she will also work in partnership with other agency leaders to support the development of strategic action plans, DEI-related policies and internal communications. “In addition to being a strong agency and business leader, Marjani brings the direct experience and emotional intelligence required to help advance our work in this critical area,” said G&S president and CEO Luke Lambert.

Idea Grove promotes Katie Long to president. John Lacy, who has served as president and COO of Idea Grove since October 2019, will remain with the agency in a senior advisory role. Long previously served as vice president, client service. She has also been vp, corporate practice at Edelman and senior director of publicity, promotion and branding at Levenson. “As our agency looks to a future of long-term sustainable growth, Katie brings the perfect combination of professionalism, composure and compassion to the job of running a fast-paced PR agency,” said Idea Grove CEO Scott Baradell. Asana, a work management platform for organizations, names Shannon Sullivan Duffy as CMO. Duffy was most recently EVP, cloud & industry marketing at Salesforce. She has also held senior marketing positions at Facebook, Jigsaw and SourceForge. Based out of Asana’s headquarters in San Francisco, Sullivan Duffy will be responsible for directing its global marketing strategy. Asana has also hired Neeracha Taychakhoonavudh as head of customer xxperience. “Both Shannon and Neeracha bring impressive enterprise experience and proven track records delivering for customers and driving business growth,” said Asana chief operating officer and head of business Anne Raimondi.
