Bastion U.S. names Dean Heacock COO and CFO. Heacock has held financial leadership positions at more than a dozen marketing groups, including WPP, Wunderman Thompson and Young & Rubicam. His role at Bastion will focus on acquisition assessment and due diligence as well as operational management and human resources. “His skills in the financial realm are world-class when it comes to expanding marketing organizations,” said Bastion U.S. CEO Dax Cornelius. RooneyPartners promotes Robert Cavosi to senior managing director. Cavosi has been with the agency since 2015, most recently serving as managing director. Prior to joining RooneyPartners, Mr. Cavosi ran the financial services practice at IMRE, and previously was an SVP at Ogilvy PR, helping to manage the firm’s corporate practice. He has also held communications roles at companies including J.P. Morgan Chase, KeyBank and Pearson, and he was a staff member of the proxy firm D.F. Iván Briones |
The National Association of Hispanic Journalists appoints Iván Briones as director of communications. Briones previously served as the City Editor of SATXtoday, a media outlet serving the San Antonio, TX area. Briones will oversee internal communications with NAHJ’s membership, regional leaders and both professional and student chapters across the continental U.S. and Puerto Rico. The organization has also hired Tapiz Media Group as their agency of record for communications and social media.
