Development Counsellors International appoints Patience Fairbrother VP, talent attraction. Fairbrother, who has been with DCI since 2014, was most recently VP, brand and digital strategy. DCI officially launched its talent attraction practice last year. In her new post, Fairbrother will focus on attracting talent to DCI’s client communities. “Her tenure at DCI, depth of knowledge across economic development, tourism and talent attraction marketing and experience leading dozens of projects geared at attracting talent to the communities we serve make her the perfect fit for this role,” said DCI partner Julie Curtin.

Marino hires Laurain Aydinian as a VPin its lifestyle and consumer practice. Prior to joining Marino, Aydinian led media strategies for global wine and spirits brands such as Rémy Martin, Hendrick’s Gin, Bordeaux Wine Bureau, Graves-Sauternes and Albarino Wines of Rías Biaxas. At Marino, she will be responsible for overseeing the agency’s food and beverage in addition to working with the senior team on business development efforts. “Laurain’s experience working with regional, national and global consumer brands coupled with her extensive background in wine and spirits will be integral as we continue to expand our work in the F&B space,” said Robert Barletta, EVP and head of Marino’s Food & Beverage team.

Buffalo Groupe names Jack Burris president of its events division, Moments Live. Burris also serves as managing director of 54 Brands, a marketing firm that was acquired by Buffalo Groupe in 2019. He has also served as vice president at the Franchise Business Review and marketing director at the International Franchise Association. “Jack has the vision for building teams and growing businesses,” says Kyle Ragsdale, CEO, Buffalo Groupe. “Since he joined Buffalo Groupe in 2019, we’ve leveraged his knowledge and leadership to develop our business and now his experience will help us expand our events division.”
