BCW has named Matt Coldagelli EVP and leader of its corporate affairs practice in Chicago.
Joining the WPP unit from Interpublic’s Golin brand, he will be responsible for building business in the Midwest and managing the office’s corporate reputation, ESG, crisis and issues management, and media relations teams.
As Golin’s executive director, corporate communications, Coldagelli led efforts in corporate reputation, narrative development, B2B PR, media relations, executive visibility and thought leadership for clients across the manufacturing, tech, agribusiness, professional services, and consumer goods sectors.
He also spent 14 years at Edelman and did a stint at MSL.
Coldagelli reports to Maxine Winer, EVP and Chicago market leader, who joined BCW in January. She said Coldagelli “knows how to create narratives that move stakeholders to engagement and action, while also protecting the integrity of the brand.”
Business leaders will face challenges in the upcoming year, some of which will come as a complete surprise, or beyond anyone's imagination.
Teneo has hired Philipp Grontzki, who is a 20-year veteran of corporate communications and financial journalism, as a managing director in its strategy and communications group.
Rowan Benecke, who co-founded Zeno Group and helmed Burson-Marsteller's tech practice, has joined McKinsey & Co as director of communications for North America.
Abby Bailey, who headed corporate communications for Fedex in its Middle East, India and Africa region, has joined Teneo as managing director in Dubai.
Amy Wulfestieg, who was senior director of internal communications at Nordstrom, has joined Brightspeed, Charlotte-based broadband services company, as chief communications officer.
