Edelman is analyzing the US media landscape for placement opportunities for the Saudi Space Commission.
Established in 2018, the SSC is to develop plans and policies for Saudi Arabia’s national space sector, promote research and industrial activity, create technology for the launch of space vehicles, regulate satellite navigation systems, and represent the Kingdom in international forums.
Edelman is to gauge the perception of Saudi Arabia in the US media and identify reporters who write positively and negatively about the Kingdom, according to its agreement with the SSC. It also will identify reporters who have incorrect or misinformation about the Kingdom.
The firm will gauge “white spaces” in the US media coverage of the space sector specifically and the Kingdom’s space sector.
Edelman will then recommend a strategic approach concerning storylines and top tier media/journalists to pitch.
