MMGY Global acquires TCI Research, a data intelligence group specializing in the travel, tourism and hospitality sectors. Now known as MMGY TCI Research, the group will work in collaboration with MMGY Travel Intelligence, MMGY Global’s existing research brand, which recently opened an office in London. TCI Research founder Olivier Henry-Biabaud will serve as partner and managing director, and long-time partner Emmanuel Meunier will be senior VP, Europe. Founded in 2010, TCI Research offers research products that benchmark tourism competition, monitor live and historical social reputation data, and measure resident sentiment through both conventional surveys and the integration of curated big data. “Never before has the need for research, data and insights to build a solid foundation in marketing and communication strategies been greater. With the addition of MMGY TCI Research, we can increasingly do this on a global scale,” said MMGY Global CEO Katie Briscoe.

Boundless Life Sciences, part of the Next Practices Group, is joining forces with Toronto-based healthcare communications agency FUSE Health to build a global offering in medical communications. Boundless and FUSE Health will create a U.S.-based firm, Boundless Medical Communications, to serve the global life sciences industry. FUSE Health will continue to serve clients in Canada related to medical and marketing communications, advisory meetings and medical education. The team’s offerings will include a proprietary advisor and influencer management system that will be paired with the data science and analytics team of NPG to build a new model in key online influencer mapping. Founded in 2009, FUSE Health is known for its work with pharmaceutical companies and healthcare professional organizations, focusing on the challenges of integrating new specialty products into the care pathway for complex diseases. “Our goal is to develop an offering that characterizes scientific advance, narrates the development journey and illustrates why future treatments should gain appropriate access to provide the most value to patients worldwide,” said NPG founder and CEO Bob Pearson.

Polaris Media, a Liverpool, UK-based maritime and engineering specialist PR firm, sets up shop in the US. Polaris Media America, headquartered in Lake Forest, IL, will be led by Polaris founder and managing director Ben Pinnington.
