General Motors names Lin-Hua Wu senior VP and chief communications officer, effective Aug. 21.
Wu is currently VP of global communications & public affairs at Google. She was previously CCO at Dropbox and served as head of corporate communications for financial services and mobile payments company Square (now Block).
Before that, Wu was a partner at Brunswick Group and a managing director at Kekst.
At GM, she will oversee global communications, reporting to chair and CEO Mary Barra.
“Lin-Hua’s broad experience and background will help drive more effective internal and external communications around our EV transformation and accelerated growth strategy,” said Barra. “Her extensive technology and Silicon Valley experience is the perfect fit for communicating our story as a technology-driven company.”
