The Managed Funds Association, which represents the alternative asset management sector, has named Georgette Sierra as VP-US government affairs.
She joins from Credit Suisse, where Sierra was director US public policy.
Sierra also held government affairs posts at BNP Paribas and the Financial Services Roundtable.
Prior to her work in the private sector, Sierra was chief of staff for New York Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney, a member of the House Financial Services Committee.
Bryan Corbett, CEO of MFA, said Sierra’s knowledge of financial services and government “will help the MFA promote public policy that strengthens capital markets and enables alternative asset mangers to generate returns for their beneficiaries.”
