Gibson, who exits Politico March 5 after a year and a half, is a former Newark Star-Ledger statehouse reporter covering the Christie administration in the Garden State.
At SevenTwenty, she will handle communications and media relations at the 14-year-old firm led by Pam Fielding. Clients have included HCA Healthcare, Comcast, TIAA-CREF and the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops.
She was previously a reporter for the News Journal in Delaware and covered the 2010 U.S. Senate race between Chris Coons and Christine O'Donnell. The Daily Caller first reported the move.
