S2 Capital, a vertically integrated residential investment manager, hires Connor Austin as VP of capital formation and investor relations. Austin was most recently an assistant VP at iCapital Network, managing relationships with registered investment advisors, regional and independent broker dealers and bank trust clients. In his new position, he will be tasked with building investor relationships with institutions and wealth management firms in the Western U.S. He will be based in Los Angeles. "His track record of raising capital and talent for building relationships with wealth management firms will help us strategically scale for new opportunities and expand our investor base,” said S2 Capital head of capital formation and investor relations Patrick Connell.

FiComm Partners, which specializes in wealth management and financial services, hires Mary Kate Gulick as EVP of marketing. Gulick most recently served as CMO at Carson Group, a financial advisory services company. She previously held senior marketing posts at companies including TV Ameritrade Institutional and IBM. "Mary Kate is a widely respected people leader and proven industry marketer," said FiComm CEO and co-founder Meg Carpenter. "The addition of Mary Kate will significantly expand our platform and bring a unique skill set to helping our clients grow, compete and succeed."

Evolus, a beauty company that works in the aesthetic neurotoxin market, names Tomoko Yamagishi-Dressler as CMO. Yamagishi-Dressler was most recently CMO at Beautyblender, a company that produces a line of makeup sponges. She previously worked at Shiseido for over two decades, ultimately serving as senior VP, marketing and sales. “Tomoko brings incredible expertise in the beauty business, as well as deep global and omnichannel marketing experience for prominent cosmetic brands,” said David Moatazedi, President and CEO at Evolus.
