Remi Yamamoto, former special assistant to President Biden, has come on board at Disney Entertainment Television as VP-media relations.
At the White House, Yamamoto was also senior adviser to the office of the chief of staff. She served as a spokesperson for the administration and worked on strategic communications and press strategy.
Yamamoto has a long record in Democratic politics. In addition to serving as Biden’s traveling national press secretary during the 2020 campaign, she has served as communications director for Iowa governor Fred Hubbard, press secretary for Tom Perriello’s unsuccessful 2017 campaign for Virigina governor, and regional press secretary for Hillary for America.
At Disney, Yamamoto will handle cross-brand messaging and communications strategies across Disney Entertainment TV’s portfolio, as well as overseeing teams for crisis communications and issue-oriented messaging.
"Her sharp instincts and impeccable judgment will serve us well as we further position our organization as the leader for original entertainment and news programming,” said Disney Entertainment TV EVP- publicity and head of communications Naomi Bulochnikov-Paul.
Steve Rice, who served as director of political mobilization for Boeing, joins DC-based bipartisan public affairs and strategic communications firm The Herald Group as SVP, overseeing its grasstops and 50-state field operations. 
Qorvis has named Victor Shiblie senior advisor to boost its international network and global business opportunities.
Pierre DuBois has taken the VP-public affairs post at AIB Data Centers, developer of the digital infrastructure for AI hosting and high-performance computing workloads.
