SAP brings on Monika Schaller as chief communications officer. Schaller joins the company from Deutsche Post DHL Group, where she led corporate communications, sustainability & brand. She previously led corporate communications at companies including Goldman Sachs, Citigroup and Deutsche Bank. She started her career as a reporter for Bloomberg News. “She is a seasoned communications leader with deep experience in global communications, political strategy and crisis communications management,” said SAP chief marketing and solutions officer Julia White.

Equinix, a digital infrastructure company, appoints Adam Berlew as CMO. Berlew was previously VP of global marketing at the company from 2012 to 2015. He rejoins the company from software development company Atlassian, where he served as head of global digital, enterprise, economy and platform marketing. Before that, Berlew was executive director of cloud AI strategy, operations and global enterprise demand marketing at Google. In his new post, he will be responsible for driving customer acquisition and revenue growth through marketing strategies that align with Equinix’s vision. “As a passionate leader with a proven track record and a deep understanding of technology, cloud and market dynamics, Adam is sure to steer our brand and world-class marketing organization to new heights as digital transformation remains an unprecedent force for economic growth,” said Equinix executive chairman and interim chief revenue officer Peter Van Camp.

CKE Restaurants, which operates the Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s restaurant chains, signs on Jennifer Tate to the CMO spot. Tate was most recently senior VP and CMO at Cracker Barrel, where she led the evolution of its menu as well as partnering with leadership to revamp the chain in the areas of innovation, digital guest experience and data-driven marketing. She previously served as executive VP and head of marketing for Olive Garden. CKE has also hired Yum!
