Jessica McDougall, who was director of BlackRock’s investment stewardship team, and Heath Winter, VP at Institutional Shareholder Services’ special situations research unit, have joined Longacre Square Partners financial PR firm.
As partners, McDougall will chair and Winter will vice chair Longacre’s expanded corporate governance and shareholder engagement practice. They will bolster Longacre’s expertise in areas such as contested situations, governance initiatives, and mergers and acquisitions,
During her seven-year run at BlackRock, McDougall focused on companies in the industrials and materials sectors. She handled shareholder activism, governance, board composition, M&A, and ESG matters.
At ISS, Winter worked with management teams, directors, investors, and other market participants in developing analysis and publishing shareholder voting recommendations for proxy contests, contested M&A, governance trends, and other shareholder proposals.
