TD Bank names Suzanne Alexander SVP, head of corporate and executive communications, a newly created role. Alexander was most recently VP corporate communications at Nielsen, serving as chief speechwriter for the company’s chairman and CEO. Before that she was VP corporate and executive communications at Marriott International. At TD Bank, Alexander will lead communications strategy and delivery for the office of the CEO and the bank’s corporate and control functions. “Suzanne is an exceptional communications leader and an award-winning journalist with a proven track record of delivering impactful communications and business-driving results,” said TD Bank chief communications officer John Pluhowski.
Tremendous, a company that enables businesses to send rewards and payouts to over 200 countries, hires Dana Barrett as VP of marketing. Barrett was most recently head of global inbound growth marketing and head of global product marketing at software development company Asana. Before that she served as chief of staff for the president of global SMB sales at Google, and global product marketing lead for video and publishers at Facebook. In her new position, Barrett will lead the marketing team and further accelerate customer growth across multiple verticals. “With extensive experience in the world of Big Tech and corporate leadership, Dana brings important perspective and hard-won learnings to Tremendous that will significantly contribute to our next phase of growth,” said Tremendous co-founder and CEO Nick Baum.
Earnest, a fintech company that is a subsidiary of student loan servicer Navient Corporation, appoints Shanee Ben-Zur as CMO. Ben-Zur most recently served as chief growth and chief marketing officer for Crunchbase. She previously held senior marketing and growth positions at such major tech brands as Dropbox, Salesforce and NVIDIA. In addition to her full-time work, Ben-Zur serves as a marketing and growth advisor to early-stage startups trying to break into the tech ecosystem. At Earnest, Ben-Zur will support initiatives to drive greater visibility of the company’s student loan origination and refinance products. She will also oversee marketing, community and partnership initiatives. “Shanee's motivational leadership style and growth-oriented approach to marketing will help our teams evolve Earnest's brand alongside our mission and reach more individuals who can benefit from all of our products and resources,” said Earnest CEO David Green.
