AXIS Capital appoints Cliff Gallant as head of investor relations and corporate development. Gallant was previously VP of investor relations and corporate development at Hippo Insurance, building its investor relations program. He was previously SVP of investor relations at National General Insurance prior to its sale to Allstate, where he then served as on the company’s corporate development team. At AXIS, Gallant will report to CFO Peter Vogt and serve as a member of the company’s global finance leadership team. “Cliff brings expansive insurance expertise, ranging from building and running investor relations programs at insurance carriers to serving as a sell-side research analyst at leading firms,” said Vogt.

Cinch Home Services, which provides home protection plans that help customers cover the cost when appliances and essential home systems break down, names Anthony Conversa as CMO. Conversa most recently served as SVP and chief growth officer at lawn care TruGreen. Before that, he was president, direct-to-consumer and CMO for Brinks Home Security. At Cinch, Conversa will oversee PR, creative services, digital, brand and reputation management, content and analytics. He also will develop insights for consumer and business-to-business marketing strategies. "Anthony brings extensive experience leading marketing strategies and driving growth in home services industries," said Cinch CEO Steve Upshaw.

Extreme Networks, a cloud networking company, brings on longtime Oracle vet Monica Kumar as EVP and chief marketing officer. Kumar comes to the company from Hitachi Vantara, where she also served as CMO. Before that, she was SVP marketing at Nutanix. Over a 20-year career at Oracle, she held a range of positions including senior director, database marketing and VP, database and big data cloud marketing. In her new post, Kumar will lead Extreme’s global marketing organization, reporting to company president and CEO Ed Meyercord. “Monica is a perfect combination of a technical and business savvy marketing leader with a talent for driving impactful initiatives that boost customer acquisition and revenue growth,” said Meyercord.
