As a creative director, he has spearheaded campaigns and launch strategies for US and global clients including Pfizer, Sanofi, Novartis, Alcon and Astellas. Bauman is also the author of three novels, a former regular contributor to NPR’s All Things Considered, and a frequent teacher of workshops in creativity and creative writing. Pizza Hut is bringing on Kalen Thornton, who most recently served as VP of sports and entertainment marketing for PepsiCo North America, as global chief brand officer, effective June 10. It has also appointed Taco Bell chief brand strategy officer, Melissa Friebe chief marketing officer, US. (Taco Bell and Pizza Hut are both part of Yum! Brands.) Before coming to PepsiCo in 2021, Thornton was at Nike, where he served in posts including North America VP men’s brand management. In his new post, he will lead Pizza Hut's global brand strategy and oversee all aspects of marketing across 110 markets and territories. Friebe will lead all aspects of marketing for the brand's U.S. business. "With a strong record of building celebrated global brands, Kalen is the right leader to help us connect a new generation through the joy of pizza,” said Pizza Hut CEO Aaron Powell in a statement. “I'm confident that Kalen and Melissa will do great things in their new roles."

CADDi, a manufacturing solutions provider, appoints Aaron Lober as VP of marketing. Most recently, Lober was head of marketing at incident management platform Blameless. Before that he was a senior product marketing manager at Procore, where he launched the company's first data and analytics product, Procore Analytics, in 2020.
