Alexandria Steiger will join German software giant SAP as global head of IR on July 1. She will report to Dominik Asam, CFO.
Steiger has more than 10 years of financial experience. She will join SAP from Goldman Sachs’ global investment research unit. As executive director, she covered the US internet sector, tracking the performance of Amazon, Meta and Alphabet.
Earlier, Steiger was an equity research analyst at UBS, focusing on the US entertainment and internet sectors.
Asam said SAP will benefit from Steiger’s leadership and the wealth of expertise she brings from her previous responsibilities.
Hasso Plattner, SAP’s last-serving co-founder, stepped down at the company’s supervisory meeting on May 15. He launched the company with four former IBM colleagues in 1972
German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, who attended the farewell meeting, praised Plattner for his part in creating an incredible global success story made in Germany. “Today, the entire global economy runs on SAP software,” said Scholz.
SAP has a 110K worldwide work force.
