Martha Delgado Peralta, a veteran of Mexico’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, has joined APCO as chair of its Mexico and Latin America group.

As undersecretary for multilateral affairs and human rights, Delgado Peralta was responsible for attracting foreign investment and promoting Mexico overseas.

Prior to joining the Ministry, she served as head of Mexico City's environmental unit. She rolled out the city’s climate action plan and its first bike-sharing program, Ecobic.

From 2019 until 2023, Delgado Peralta served as president of the first Assembly of the United Nations Human Settlements Programme.

Margery Kraus, APCO founder/executive, believes Mexico’s time has come.

"APCO is excited to help companies wanting to establish themselves in Mexico and take advantage of all the country has to offer, as well as to help those companies in Mexico and Latin America expand their horizons to the rest of the world,” Kraus said.

Mexico is expected to elect Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo as its first female president on June 2. She also was the first woman to be elected mayor of Mexico City.
