The American Cancer Society brings on Dave Lew as chief marketing officer. He comes to ACS from American Lebanese Syrian Associated Charities, the fundraising and awareness organization for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, where he served as SVP of strategic marketing at the facility that was founded by entertainer Danny Thomas in 1962.
Before that, he was VP, marketing and product management at Vitamix and worked in a variety of marketing and business leadership at Newell Brands.
In his new post, Lew will focus on putting together a cohesive brand strategy for ACS, as well as working to raise marketing revenue with a focus on fundraising activities conducted through digital channels.
“His deep knowledge and experience in marketing within the nonprofit and cancer space will serve to meaningfully amplify ACS’s story in bold new ways,” said American Cancer Society and ACS Cancer Action Network CEO Dr. Karen E. Knudsen.
