Sarah Mamula, who was VP-government affairs at the Bank Policy Institute, has signed on at the Financial Technology Association.
As head of government affairs, Mamula will spearhead FTA’s advocacy efforts.
In her more than five-year stint at BPI, Mamula handled issues such as cybersecurity, regulation, data privacy and digital assets. She also served as BPI's chief of staff.
Previously, Mamula was senior director at the Global Women’s Innovation Network in charge of operations and programming.
Penny Lee, FTA CEO, praised Mamula’s extensive bipartisan relationships. “With her leadership, we look forward to deepening the fintech industry’s engagement with policymakers, regulators and third-party advocates to shape the future of finance,” said Lee.
FTA members include Intuit, Klarna, Chime, PayPal, Block, MoneyLion and Stripe.
