The Bliss Group is hosting a June 26 event to launch the New York chapter of Women in Cleantech and Sustainability, an international networking organization that has established chapters in San Francisco, Los Angeles, London and Paris. Co-Lead of the Women in Cleantech and Sustainability New York City chapter Emily Porro is also SVP and co-lead of The Bliss Group’s Impact Practice, which provides counsel, campaign strategy and communications support to clients seeking to align strategic priorities and sustainable programs with societal change. WCS hosts monthly events focused on trends in the green industry, professional and personal development, and networking. The June 26 launch event will feature Boston Consulting Group senior advisor Stephanie Stahl; Centre for Urban Transformation communications lead Lisa Chamberlain; Angela Oberg, chief climate officer and senior director of climate action and sustainability at Rutgers University; Tiya Gordon, founder of startup itsElectric; and Krystal Persaud, designer and climate entrepreneur.

Bevel, a strategic communications and marketing consultancy that was acquired by Avenue Z in 2023, brings together its leadership under Avenue Z’s organizational structure and launches its Convergence PR offering. The offering, which is now available to the firm’s clients, aims to merge traditional PR tactics with paid media, digital marketing and performance media to increase the frequency and consistency of brand interactions, as well as strengthen client narratives across a wide range of platforms. “PR and strategic communications are tools for driving awareness to support launch initiatives, growth metrics and raising funds. TransMedia Group founder and CEO Tom Madden publishes a new book, Planetary Lifeguard: Blowing the Whistle on Climate Change, that focuses on the urgency of switching more quickly to renewable energy and sustainability.
