Brunswick Group has added climate and sustainability pro David Wei as a partner in its New York office, effective June 17.
He is joining the global “critical issues” advisory from the Business for Social Responsibility group, where he was managing director—climate & nature.
In that role, Wei worked with companies to establish environmental goals and programs, manage climate risks and develop collaborations to build a net-zero economy.
He will be part of Brunswick’s global climate hub, which is part of its ESG & sustainability team.
Wei will work with clients on matters related to energy transition and climate change strategies.
Before working at BSR, Wei served as climate diplomat for the Marshall Islands and Alliance of Small Island States in the Paris Agreement negotiations.
He also worked as a securities litigator for Fried Frank in New York and commercial litigator at Cassels in Toronto.
