FGS Global recruits Heidrick & Struggles CFO Mark Harris to serve as global chief financial and operating officer, effective Sept. 3. Harris succeeds Ajay Junnarkar, who has been CFO at FGS since October 2019.
At Heidrick & Struggles, which provides global leadership advisory and on-demand talent solutions, Harris leads the company’s finance and accounting functions. Before coming to the firm in 2018, he was CFO at Hercules Capital and senior portfolio manager and CFO at Avenue Capital Group.
In his new role at FGS, Harris will report directly to global CEO Alex Geiser and oversee all aspects of the finance function and the global technology team as well as heading up the firm’s global operating committee.
“With nearly three decades of experience, Mark’s proven track record of success overseeing global finance operations in numerous industries, including professional service organizations, will be instrumental as we continue to build the leading communications advisory firm for the stakeholder economy,” said Geiser.
FGS global co-chair Roland Rudd thanked Junnarkar for “helping lead FGS through a period of growth and transformation following the combination of Finsbury, The Glover Park Group, Hering Schuppener and Sard Verbinnen—and through the growth investment by KKR in April 2023.”
