PAN brings on Azizza Brinson as VP of media relations and head of DEI. Brinson joins the agency from Hotwire, where she was director of media strategy and chair of the company’s Black Employee Resource Group. Before that, she worked at KCSA Strategic Communications, Hokku PR and Crenshaw Communications. At PAN, Brinson will team up with PAN’s current VP of media relations Ashley Waters to help lead the agency-wide department and support the pursuit of strategic press on behalf of PAN’s clients. She also will work with the firm’s executive team and HR department to lead its DEI efforts internally and externally. "Strategic media relations are imperative for our clients and Azizza’s passion for it is contagious. She is joining at a pivotal time in our growth journey, as we continue to invest in upleveling our media relations skills, experience and relationships,” said PAN president and CEO Phil Nardone. “I’m also thrilled to have a partner in our DEI initiatives.”

Sikich, a technology-enabled professional services company, names Melanie Strah global PR lead (a newly created post) and promotes Kyle Adams to head of The Agency, Sikich’s marketing and communications consultancy. Strah was most recently a senior partner at FINN, and she has also served as an EVP at Weber Shandwick and a VP at Edelman. In her new post, she will oversee corporate reputation management, including media relations and executive positioning. Adams has been with Sikich since 2015, most recently serving as managing director at The Agency, leading its public relations and communications team. Before joining Sikich, he was a senior editor at Real Clear Politics. “Kyle will lead The Agency in providing best-in-class marketing and communications counsel to clients while Melanie brings an impressive background and skillset to help promote the Sikich brand amidst rapid growth,” said Sikich CEO Chris Geier.

Tier One Partners promotes Ashley Tate to SVP, content. Tate joined Tier One six years ago to establish the agency’s content studio. Prior to joining the agency, she was founding editor of the Money section at Real Simple magazine, where she worked for 10 years editing and writing in various capacities and was named a finalist for a National Magazine Award. She has also written for such publications as Money, O: The Oprah Magazine, Women’s Health, Good Housekeeping, Country Living, Ozy, and PureWow as well as creating content for brands including Comcast NBCUniversal, Toyota, Verizon, Cisco and Seventh Generation. In her new post, Tate will work to build upon the Studio’s momentum through new integrated marketing solutions rooted in creative storytelling. “Under Ashley’s strong leadership, Tier One’s Content Studio has been a key component of our agency’s growth strategy,” said Tier One co-founder and managing partner Marian Hughes.

Everest Group, a research firm helping business leaders apply contextualized problem-solving to their unique situations, brings on Lucy Birch as CMO. Birch was most recently CMO at Verian (formerly Kantar Public), where she led a global rebrand, alongside setting up the new marketing function and MarTech infrastructure for the newly divested business. She was previously global strategic marketing leader at PwC, and has worked for KPMG in the UK and Europe as a senior marketing and communications leader. Working out of Everest Group's London office, Birch will oversee the firm's global marketing strategy and operations, including support for existing and new research services. Birch and her team will also support the firm's new conferences business unit, Everest Group Global Events. "Lucy brings to Everest Group a wealth of marketing, brand, communications and commercial experience and knowledge of how to work successfully in a large, complex environment," said Everest Group founder and CEO Peter Bendor-Samuel.
