Bloomberg Industry Group, an affiliate of Bloomberg L.P. that provides legal, tax, regulatory, and business news and information for professionals, appoints Maite Salazar as CMO. Salaar was most recently VP of marketing at the Colibri Group. She was previously VP commercial strategy and revenue at Elsevier. As CMO, Salazar will be responsible for developing and implementing Bloomberg Industry Group's marketing strategy and driving brand awareness for its three businesses: Bloomberg Law, Bloomberg Tax, and Bloomberg Government. "Maite is a data-driven leader with a strong strategic marketing background who has a track record of driving brand awareness and revenue growth, while at the same time understanding customer needs and developing innovative strategies for evolving markets," said Bloomberg Industry Group CEO Josh Eastright.

General Motors adds Cathy DeWitt to its State & Local Public Policy team as southwest regional manager. DeWitt comes to GM from Schlueter Group, where she was principal and managing partner of the group representing large national companies and business associations on key business issues. She was previously VP of governmental affairs for the Texas Association of Business, the largest business advocacy group in the state. Based in Austin, DeWitt will be responsible for leading GM’s state-level policy efforts in Texas and the southwest.
