PROI Worldwide, a partnership of leading independent communications agencies, names Angela Scaffidi, founder and managing partner of Australian consultancy Senate SHJ, as its new global chair and adds Nicola Nel, who formerly led South African consultancy Atmosphere Communications, as global managing director. Scaffidi has served for many years on the PROI Board, representing the APAC region. Nel founded Atmosphere Communications more than two decades ago and built it into one of the most highly regarded PR consultancies in South Africa. Atmosphere was sold to Accenture Song in 2021. “Both Angela and Nicola are long-time PROI partners and have established highly trusted and respected positions within the group,” said .
