Florida’s Ballard Partners has signed on L3Harris Technologies for business development and procurement matters.

The $20B Melbourne, FL-based company brands itself as a “trusted disruptor” in the defense industry

It posted a 17 percent rise in Q1 revenues to $5.2B, powered by the 2023 $4.7B acquisition of Aerojet Rocketdyne, maker of rocket engines and propulsion systems.

L3Harris also received a boost as it recently earned US Navy approval for its next-generation electronic warfare technology for the F/A-18 Hornet and Super Hornet aircraft.

Ballard Partners is noted for its close ties to Donald Trump.

Susie Wiles, who headed Ballard’s Tallahassee office for a decade, ran Trump’s Florida campaign in 2016. She exited Ballard in 2019. Wiles in 2021 became CEO of Trump’s Save America PAC.

Brian Ballard was Trump’s top fundraiser in Florida.

He is working the L3Harris business with Ballard Partners’ senior partner Syl Lukis and managing partner Eugene O’Flaherty.
