Case Western Reserve University recruits Nestlé USA director of strategy & development for marketing Erica Starrfield to serve as VP for marketing and communications, effective Aug. 1. Starrfield, who was with the company for 19 years, also held brand management roles across some of its most iconic national and international brands, including Stouffer’s, Lean Cuisine and Buitoni. She will report to Case Western president Eric Kaler for overall strategy and to VP, chief of staff and strategic advisor to the president Katie Brancato for day-to-day operations. “Erica brings the experience we need to elevate awareness of the remarkable work being done at Case Western Reserve,” said Kaler. “She will be ready to lead a talented team in University Marketing and Communications to ensure our brand becomes better known across the U.S. and beyond.”
