Kellyanne Conway |
Kellyanne Conway, a top aide to President Donald Trump, has agreed to represent a Ukrainian oligarch, who is a strong opponent of Russia’s invasion of his country.
Her KAConsulting is in line for a $50K monthly fee for work on behalf of the UK Office of the Victor Pinchuk Foundation, which is focused on advancing the artistic, scientific, charitable, benevolent and philanthropic purposes in Ukraine.
The contract went into effect on July 25, and runs through Nov. 14.
It calls for KAConsulting to engage US lawmakers and experts and opinion makers to explain the importance of Ukraine to the rules-based order and the protection of democratic principles.
The firm will contribute to raising awareness among US decision makers of Ukrainians’ fight for freedom and the Russian illegal war of aggression.
KAC also will assist in organizing meetings of Ukrainian soldiers and veterans with US political leaders to share their insights.
The contract forbids KAConsulting from making any statements to the press, media or general public without prior approval from the client.
If re-elected, Trump is expected to reduce US military aid to Ukraine and pressure it to cede seized territory to Russia.
His Vice President has argued for terminating all US support for Ukraine.
While running for the Ohio Senate seat, JD Vance said: "I gotta be honest with you, I don't really care what happens to Ukraine one way or another."
