Avenue Z brings on Parveen Singh as a director based in its New York office. Singh comes to Avenue Z from FTI Consulting’s Strategic Communications practice, where he most recently served as director, financial services, corporate reputation, playing a central role in safeguarding and enhancing the reputations of major banks and investment firms among investors, regulators and key audiences. He previously held roles at Prosek Partners and BerlinRosen. Singh specializes in strategic communications for top investment managers and investment institutions, working to elevate brands’ media visibility through high-level press engagements, thought leadership and digital channels. "With his extensive experience in strategic communications and a proven track record of elevating brands in the financial sector, Parveen is poised to be a tremendous asset to our team as we continue to drive impactful results for our clients," said Avenue Z chief client officer Jessica Dalziel.

Box, a content cloud used by such organizations as AstraZeneca, JLL, Morgan Stanley and Nationwide, appoints Tricia Gellman as CMO. Most recently, Gellman has served as an advisor to a variety of companies, including several within the Scale Ventures and NEA Ventures portfolios. She has also served as CMO at Salesforce Canada and director, product marketing at Adobe. In her new position, Gellman will work to accelerate Box’s evolution as an Intelligent Content Management platform, delivering AI-powered collaboration, workflow automation and security. “Tricia’s track record of driving demand, positioning and solutions marketing aligns perfectly with our vision for Box's future," said Box CEO Aaron Levie.

Hachette Book Group hires Leigh Marchant as SVP and chief marketing officer, effective Sept. 23. Marchant was most recently SVP and director of marketing, strategy and engagement at the Random House Group, overseeing marketing and branding strategies for fiction and nonfiction titles across all categories. She previously served as associate director of marketing for trade paperbacks for the Random House, Spiegel & Grau and Ballantine Bantam Dell imprints, and has worked at Barnes & Noble, Oxford University Press and Perseus Books Group. Marchant succeeds Wibke Grutjen, who departed HBG to join Simon & Schuster. In addition to leading HBG’s marketing strategy team, Marchant will work with HBG's sales team, publishing groups and international marketing teams. Her hire follows HBG’s recent appointment of Gabrielle Gambrell as SVP, chief communications officer.
