General Catalyst, a venture capital firm, recruits Blackstone global head of marketing Arielle Gross Samuels as its chief marketing and communications officer, according to a report in the Wall Street Journal. Samuels will succeed Jennifer Zimmerman, who remains as a consultant with the company. Prior to joining Blackstone in 2022, Samuels was at Meta, where she held a range of positions, including global head of ESG business. Before that, she was at Deloitte. At General Catalyst, Samuels will lead all marketing and communications, including advertising, press, thought leadership and events. Her plan is to build the brand’s equity and consideration globally, she told the WSJ.

Apromore, a provider of AI-driven process mining and simulation solutions, appoints Brandee Sanders as CMO. Sanders was previously CMO at AI-powered RevOps platform Revenue.io. She has also held senior positions at companies including BlackLine, Sony Music and Observe.AI. In her new role, Sanders will oversee Apromore's global marketing strategy, focusing on expanding market reach, enhancing brand visibility and driving customer engagement initiatives. “Her extensive experience and proven leadership in driving growth and market expansion will be instrumental as we continue to innovate and expand our leadership in the AI and process mining industry,” said Apromore CEO and co-founder Marcello La Rosa.
