Katy Spaulding, who spent 15 years at Allison and WE Communications, has joined Method Communications as chief operating officer.
Taking over for Heather England, Spaulding will handle finance, human resources and day-to-day activities at the technology PR powerhouse.
At Allison, Spaulding was general manager of its northwest region before becoming the firm’s first chief of staff.
During two separate stints at WE, Spaulding served as a member of its SWAT team, handling projects for high-priority clients.
She has counseled clients such as Microsoft, Budweiser and Toyota.

Spaulding is based in Portland, Ore. Method also has offices in San Francisco, Salt Lake City and New York.
