Warner Bros. Discovery names Riot Games president of entertainment Shauna Spenley as its global chief marketing officer of direct-to-consumer. Spenley joined Riot Games in 2021, leading its expansion into film, television and music, as well as overseeing the company’s IP strategy and consumer products. She was previously VP of marketing and publicity at Netflix. In her new post, Spenley will oversee WBD’s global streaming marketing organization, with broad responsibilities across branding, content marketing, subscriber growth, retention & engagement, marketing science, research and media. “We are so fortunate to be able to bring in a talent of Shauna’s caliber and it says a lot about our achievements, our assets and team, and opportunity ahead of us that she can’t wait to join our One WBD Team,” said Warner Bros. CRH, a provider of building materials solutions, appoints Lauren Schulz as chief communications officer. Most recently, Lauren was head of global communications at Verizon Business. Before that, she was a strategic communications officer in the United States Marine Corps, where she also held public affairs and media relations positions. At CRH, Schulz will lead the company’s global communications strategy, brand and corporate narrative across all markets. "Her extensive experience and forward-thinking approach to communications will be invaluable as we continue to develop our brand and engage with our stakeholders worldwide," said CRH chief executive Albert Manifold.

Kennedy was most recently founder and principal consultant at BrandZen, a marketing strategy and content creation agency that has generated over 10 million organic social media impressions for B2B clients. He has also served as VP of marketing at travel marketing platform Sojern and head of content marketing at marketing services company NextRoll.
