Clemson University has named Sharon Martin VP for marketing and communications. She starts in the position in October.
Martin comes to Clemson from West Virginia University, where she most recently served as CMO and VP for university engagement, overseeing the university’s communications and marketing teams. Before that she was assistant VP, marketing at Purdue.
At Clemson, Martin will serve as a member of the president’s executive leadership team as well as developing and implementing integrated communications and marketing strategies to build and protect the university's brand.
“With more than two decades of experience in marketing and communications, Sharon brings a wealth of knowledge and a heart for service that will elevate Clemson,” said Clemson University president Jim Clements.
