Andy Merrill, former senior managing director at global strategic consultancy Teneo, has joined Prosek Partners as its newest partner.
According to Prosek Partners managing partner Jennifer Prosek, Merrill will play a key role in growing the independent PR firm’s transactions and “special situations” business, leveraging “his immense talents and experience to support clients across the firm.”
“In our industry, there are few people with the breadth and depth of experience and expertise that Andy brings to the table,” said Prosek. “This is a transformative hire for the agency, and one that will bring great value and benefit to our clients.”
Merrill brings nearly two decades of strategic financial communications experience to the firm, with a particular focus on transaction communications and crisis management. At Teneo, he counseled CEOs and boards of directors in areas such as corporate strategy, business operations, media and investor relations, corporate and executive reputation management, and transaction communications.
Prior to that role, Merrill was U.S. CEO at London-based financial communications firm Finsbury, where he led the expansion of the firm's U.S. business, as well as the merger of Finsbury’s U.S. office with Robinson Lehrer Montgomery.
He has also held key leadership positions at Edelman and Abernathy MacGregor, and served as an investment banker at UBS and as senior commercial banker and investor relations head at The Bank of New York.
